From Charlotte Douglas International Airport – Charlotte, NC
(Driving time=approximately 2 hours)

• Leave the airport, following the signs to the Billy Graham Pkwy and Interstate 77 South
• Take exit 6B to Billy Graham Pkwy
• Go 4.4 miles on the Billy Graham Pkwy to Interstate 77 South exit (on right)
• Stay on Interstate 77 South to Exit 77 which is Route 21 / Route 5
  • Note: When you take Exit 77, first left and you will be on Route 21 for about 5 miles, then you pick up Route 5.
• Take Route 5 East toward Lancaster to 521 South
• Take 521 South toward Lancaster.  When you see Bojangles restaurant (on the left), go through the traffic light. You are still on 521 South. Immediately after you pass through the intersection, you will cross a bridge. Turn right to continue on 521 South
• Travel another 3 miles on 521 South. Turn right onto 903 East, toward McBee (exit is on right).
• Follow 903 East for approximately 15 miles
• At intersection 903 and 151, turn right. You will be heading toward McBee/Hartsville/Myrtle Beach on 151 South
• Follow 151 South through McBee into Hartsville, approximately 20 miles
• Take 151 Business (also West Carolina Avenue) into Hartsville. This exit will be on the left.
• Follow West Carolina until you come to Fifth Street.  (Hilex is on the corner of West Carolina and Fifth Street – Old brick building)
• Turn right onto Fifth Street and take an immediate left into the Hilex Parking Lot
• The Hilex entrance is between the columns

From Columbia Metropolitan Airport – Columbia, SC
(Driving time=approximately 1.5 hours)

• Follow Airport Drive to Edmund Road
• Turn left on Edmund Road
• Follow Edmund Road to Interstate 26 West
• Take Interstate 26 West to Interstate 20 East (toward Florence)
• Turn right onto Interstate 20 East
• Stay on Interstate 20 East, taking exit 116 (Bishopville/Rt. 15 North)
• Turn right onto Rt. 15 North, heading toward Bishopville
• Continue following Rt. 15 North through Bishopville into Hartsville
• Once in Hartsville, follow Rt. 15 business. It becomes Fifth Street.
• You will still be heading North
• Follow Fifth Street (15N), straight at the Mexican restaurant (Rancho Grande) intersection
• Continue on Fifth Street, and go through town
• As you approach Applebee’s Restaurant on your right, you will be nearing the Hilex Parking Lot.

From Florence Airport – Florence, SC
(Driving time=approximately 40 minutes)

• Exit the airport and turn left onto East Palmetto Street (also Hwy 301and US 76)
• Travel approximately 1 mile to a fork in the road (you will see a sign for Hwy 52), and follow the road to the right. You are now on Cheves Street
• Follow Cheves Street about 8/10 of a mile to Church Street. Turn right
• Church Street becomes Hwy 52. Continue on Hwy 52 to Darlington (You will pass a junction for Interstate 95 and further down the road, you will pass Florence-Darlington Technical School)
• Take the Hwy 52 Bypass (a left turn at the major intersection)
• Follow the Bypass until you see the exit for Hartsville, Hwy 151 North–it is a right turn
• At the end of the exit, there is a traffic light. Turn left onto Hwy 151 North
• Follow 151 North until you reach the junction of 151 North and 15 North. 15 North is also Fifth Street. Turn right onto Fifth Street.

• Follow the terminal road out of the airport heading for Interstate 526 North or East to Interstate 26 West toward Columbia
• Follow 26 West to 95 North
• Take exit 164 in South Carolina (for Hwy 52)
• At the end of the exit ramp, turn right onto Hwy 52, heading toward Darlington
• Follow Hwy 52 until you see the sign for Hwy 52 Bypass (It's a left turn at the major intersection)
• Follow the Bypass until you see the exit for Hartsville, Hwy 151 North–it is a right turn
• At the end of the exit, there is a traffic light. Turn left onto Hwy 151 North

• Take the terminal road to 17 North toward Conway
• At the junction of 17 North and Hwy 501 North, take Hwy 501 North to Conway
• Follow 501 North until you reach Marion. The road forks in a junction with US 576 to Florence
• Rt. 576 becomes US 76 and US 301. In Florence, it is also called East Palmetto Street. The Florence airport and aviation museum will be on your left
• Once you've passed the airport, travel approximately 1 mile to a fork in the road (you will see a sign for Hwy 52), and follow the road to the left. You are now on Cheves Street
